It’s National Pizza Month, Let’s Celebrate!

October is National Pizza Month.  Rumor has it that it was designated as such by Congress in 1987, although after a quick search of the Congressional Record I am still unable to confirm this.  Regardless, celebrate pizza for an entire month?  Twist my arm.

My gift to you in honor of this oh so special occasion?  How about some food porn.

“What is that?” you ask… That is my grown up version of the classic Hawaiian pizza.

Topped with maple and bourbon braised pork belly and pineapple and caramelized onions.

Want the recipe? (It’s a Messy Kitchen original!) For that, you’re going to have to head over to the DC Ladies site, where my first post was featured this morning!
