Whole30, Day 24: A Whole30 Birthday Bash

It was the work husband’s birthday today, and we celebrated with a breakfast party in the office.  Usually, this would just mean me avoiding doughnuts, but since a) he’s also on the Whole30 and b) I was on the planning committee, we had plenty of Whole30 compliant treats.  I made two types of egg cups, the first are simply eggs wrapped in bacon and the second are eggs scrambled with onions, peppers and avocado… wrapped in bacon.  And yes, I used the bacon fat for everything.

I even made the birthday boy a meat cupcake!  Isn’t it pretty?!

According to the Whole30 Timeline I should be feeling:  Tiger Blood! Your energy is through the roof, you’ve kicked the cravings, you’re experimenting with new, delicious food, and you’ve finally got the time to notice that your clothes fit better, your workouts are stronger, and you are generally more awesome.

How I’m feeling: Tired today.  I didn’t sleep well last night.  On an unrelated note, I had my first bacon since starting the Whole30 yesterday and again this morning.  It actually made me feel like of gross.  While I feel great about most the food I’m putting in my body, I didn’t feel that way about bacon.  Maybe I just inhaled too much while cooking two pounds of it this morning…
