2013 in Review: Best Recipes and Best Moments
As we kick off 2014, I want to take a moment to reflect on the year that just ended and share some of my favorite meals and moments of 2013 (as I did here for 2012!) As I put this post together, several pretty obvious things occurred to me: we eat ridiculously well and live a pretty awesomely fun life. So it is with great gratitude as well as great excitement for the year to come that I present you with these highlights.

An early favorite, this chowdah is the perfect thing to have ready to heat up on a cold winter night. Healthy as can be, but so rich and creamy you’d never know it!

This vegan combo is a match made in heaven!
Creamy Avocado Pasta with Smoked Salmon and Asparagus
Simple enough to make for a crowd, yet gourmet enough to impress your dinner party guests, this is surely one of my favorite culinary discoveries of 2013.
Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas with Blue Cheese Crumbles
The only thing more exciting than the taste of the juicy buffalo chicken filling is finding out that it’s packed with hidden veggies!
Thai Peanut Soup with Grilled Peanut Butter Sandwich Croutons
This soup is the perfect appetizer for a dinner party, but I should probably warn you: it just might steal the show!
These vegan Sloppy Joes are tasty enough that I can guarantee that even the most adamant carnivores will be pleased. These babies are also incredibly cost effective when cooking for a crowd!
Smoked Salmon Pizza with Avocado and Pesto Cream Cheese Sauce
The best pizza I’ve ever made. Need I say more?
Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Quinoa Bake
Everything wonderful in one casserole dish.

I’m tempted to make a whole Thanksgiving feast all over again just so that I can make this sandwich.
